New Orleans in Pictures

First 5 photos are taken in the French Quarter - walking along Bourban street & others.  The Church is St. Louis Cathedral, which is located in Jackson Square.
Photo 6 Frenchmen Street - Up and coming area filled with lots of music & restaurants
Last 5 Photos are taken in the Garden District - Including the Commander Palace (bright blue) and Lafayette Cemetery.

  2. Yes, the architecture is beautiful. I'm taking pictures on my phone, which really doesn't do the buildings the justice that they deserve, but does give folks a taste of what there is to see.

    I've updated the picture posts with locations. For the most part I've noted regions within the city, specific locations was difficult for me to verify as Wilson and I did a lot of walking on the two days we were in the city.

    While there we picked up a Visitor's Guide to the city which was really helpful in giving an overview of the various districts/regions as well as a list of music venues, restaurants, lodging, etc. You can check it out online http://www.neworleanscvb.com/visit/request-vg/ - this is the 2016 edition but will help you get started in planning your trip.
