So what did you think of Hilton Head? My aunt and uncle lived there, and the only time I visited was my aunt's memorial service. I hated how segregated and elite it was and how hard it was to get to a public beach....
Hilton Head was nice but surreal. We were staying in a 2 bedroom condo, which we would never normally do. We stayed mostly to ourselves other than the friends that we met up with...strike that, we met a few nice girls who were activity directors at the place we were staying...they were a lot of fun and most things centered around liquor so it was easy to enjoy them :) Other than that, we really didn't venture out so didn't feel the elitism, although I know it was there. I think having just come out of surviving Hurricane Matthew there was a bit more humility. I could just be projecting, who knows?
